Lake Norman & Lake Wylie | Waterfront Real Estate Expert

Broker/Owner of Carolina Realty Advisors

Waterfront Expert - A Licensed Realtor in NC and SC and Owner of Carolina Realty Advisors.

The purpose of this page is to help my clients and potential clients buy and sell waterfront, water-view, or waterfront community real estate. I’m an avid boater and have been on the lakes in our area since 1997. I’m also a TOP Producing Realtor that specializes in selling lakefront and luxury real estate on both lakes (licensed in North and South Carolina) since 2001.

As someone who is on the lake 2-4 times a week from Spring until the Fall, I have a lot of knowledge about the areas. Contact me with your questions about what it is like to live on and spend time on our lakes here.

*Offering Waterfront Real Estate Property Tours guided by boat on either Lake Norman OR Lake Wylie - terms and conditions apply.

Lake Norman

Lake Norman began being developed in the late 1950’s and was completed in 1964. It is North Carolina’s LARGEST man-made lake with over 520 miles of shoreline. In fact, sometimes it is referred to as an ‘inland sea’.

This massive lake falls within four different counties (Catawba, Iredell, Lincoln, and Mecklenburg) and ten different cities, all with their own character. Some of the larger cities include: Cornelius, Davidson, Huntersville, Denver, Sherrills Ford, Troutman, and Terrell.

Lake Wylie

Lake Wylie is a manmade lake that sits on the border between North and South Carolina. The lake covers around 13,400 acres and has approximately 325 miles of shoreline and an average depth of around 20 feet.

Cities bordering Lake Wylie include, “Lake Wylie”, Tega Cay, Charlotte, and India Hook but it is also in very close proximity to Rock Hill and Fort Mill. Its shoreline falls into three counties: York, Mecklenburg, and Gaston.
